Privacy policy, cookies policy and terms and conditions

Last updated: 25 October 2026

1. Who we are

Porsche Swiss Owners is an independent community of Porsche owners in Switzerland, run by its founders and members. You can reach us at contact@porscheswissowners.ch. This page explains how this website handles personal data and cookies, and the rules for using it.

We are independent. Porsche Swiss Owners is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected to Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Porsche Schweiz AG, any Porsche Centre, or any other company, dealership or organisation linked to the Porsche brand. “Porsche”, the Porsche crest and the names of Porsche models are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them only to refer to the cars that our members own and drive.

2. Privacy policy

What data is handled

  • Technical data processed by our hosting provider when you visit the site.
  • Technical data received by Google when your browser loads the site’s fonts and the map on the Contact page.
  • The emails you send us.

We have no user accounts, no newsletter, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking tools. We do not sell your data.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States). When you visit, Netlify’s servers automatically process technical data such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the pages requested, and your browser and device type. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use it to identify you. Netlify may process this data in the United States or in other countries; see Netlify’s privacy policy.

Fonts and map (Google)

To display the site’s typefaces, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts. To display the map on the Contact page, your browser loads Google Maps. In both cases Google receives technical data such as your IP address, and Google may process it outside Switzerland and the European Union. See Google’s privacy policy.

Contact by email

If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message. We use this only to answer you and to discuss membership or events, and we keep it only as long as needed for that purpose. Your messages are handled through our email provider, which processes them on our behalf.

Instagram and Facebook

The site contains links to our Instagram and Facebook pages. Nothing from these platforms is loaded into the site. If you click a link, the platform’s own privacy policy applies.

Photos and people at events

Our event photos may show members and guests, and car licence plates. If you appear in a photo and want it removed or blurred, write to us and we will act promptly.

Legal basis, sharing and security

We process this data to run a secure website and to answer the people who contact us. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site (Art. 6(1)(f)) and, for emails, taking steps at your request. We share data only with the service providers named above, or if the law requires it. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where it applies, the GDPR, you may ask us for access to your data, its correction or deletion, to restrict or object to its processing, and, where the GDPR applies, to receive it in a portable format. Write to contact@porscheswissowners.ch; we answer within a reasonable time, in principle within one month. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you live in the EU, to your local data protection authority.

3. Cookies policy

Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device.

What we use. This website does not set its own cookies, does not store information on your device to follow you, and has no analytics, advertising or social media tracking. We do not use any hosting feature that sets cookies. For this reason, we do not show a cookie banner.

Third parties. The Contact page embeds a Google map. When that page loads, Google may set cookies or similar technologies on your device. We do not control them. You can avoid this by not opening the Contact page, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings.

Managing cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. If we start using analytics or other cookies, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

4. Terms and conditions

Use of the website

This website is provided for information about our community, our events and our contact details. We do our best to keep it accurate, but we give no guarantee that it is complete or up to date, and we may change or remove content at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage resulting from the use of the site or from its temporary unavailability.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the texts, layout and logo of this site belong to Porsche Swiss Owners. The photographs belong to their photographers, credited on the Past events page, and all rights are reserved. You may not copy, download, share, publish or modify them without prior written permission and a clear credit. Any use or sharing without credit will be reported.

Trademarks

All Porsche trademarks and model names mentioned or shown on this site belong to their owners. Their use here does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

Events

Events are organised by community members. Participants take part at their own responsibility, must respect road traffic laws, speed limits and local rules, and are responsible for their own vehicle and insurance. To the extent permitted by law, Porsche Swiss Owners is not liable for accidents, damage or injury occurring at or on the way to an event.

Links to other websites

We are not responsible for the content or practices of websites we link to.

Changes and applicable law

We may update this page at any time; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by Swiss law. If the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence say otherwise, those rules prevail.
